The Unwin Charitable Trust is a fund held on trust for the promotion and furtherance of the commercial education of those in the book trade.
Since its formation in 1975 by the publisher Rayner Unwin, the Trust has sponsored many projects and initiatives in the fields of publishing, bookselling and printing and its Trustees continue to support individuals and organisations whose aims are to improve and expand the book trade.
This year, the Trustees are focussing on a new mission: the provision of affordable training courses for those involved in the retail end of the book trade. For us to provide the best training for booksellers at all stages of their careers, we need to hear from all areas of the trade. On our News page, you can find more information and a questionnaire. If you could take a couple of minutes to complete this questionnaire, it would really help us work out what sort of training is most necessary. Many thanks for your assistance.
